Dental implants work just like real teeth with real roots! Implants look Just like a natural teeth! If you have gaps in your smile due to a missing tooth or teeth, implants are an excellent treatment option.

Why Dental Implants?

Replacing missing teeth is important, and not just to restore your appearance. Gaps between teeth are an area where plaque and tartar-causing bacteria like to settle. If this bacteria is not removed, it can quickly cause cavities, tooth decay, or gum disease. Teeth also shift with time when there is not something to maintain the space where the missing tooth is present. Teeth naturally will move into this space which can cause issues with biting, sensitivity, and overall general function of the jaw. One way to close these gaps and replace the teeth that are missing is through dental implants. In some cases, dental implants is a better choice than bridges and dentures because they are a more permanent solution. Traditional tooth replacement options, such as bridgework will only replace the crown, where part of the tooth visible above the gums.

How Do Implants Work?

The implants are composed of 3 parts: the implant screw, the abutment, and the manufactured crown. Dental implants work just like real teeth with real roots!

Firstly, Dr. Wank surgically places the secured implant post into your upper or lower jawbone and acts as a replacement for the tooth root. The implant screw is made from biocompatible metal like titanium. Secondly, after placement, the implant will fuse with the jawbone until it is fully integrated and becomes part of your body.
After that, the healing begins as the implant fuses with your jawbone to create a strong foundation for further restoration such as dental crowns, dental bridges, and dentures. They attach it to the implant post and will look like a natural tooth. You select the color shade so that it matches the rest of your teeth.
